To become a more proficient leader in the ever-changing world, a comprehensive analysis of self will allow me to gain a better insight into what differentiates me from others, along with my strengths, weaknesses and how I can change for the better, which will all be useful in the creation of my leadership plan. Within seven months I will be graduating college with a degree in business administration, concentrated in human resources, which should create some open doors for me to obtain a leadership position down the road. That being said, since I don’t believe that this qualification alone will suffice for me to attain a position in my field, I will also rely on my never-quit and persistent personality to assist me in achieving my objectives. I also have other opportunities available to me at my current occupation. I have been asked on a few occasions to move into a decent paying management position which could potentially open doors to even higher positioned job opportunities, however, I would rather put my focus into attaining an education for the human resource job I would rather have. Another available resource I have to attain my goals lies in the relationships I’ve made over the course of my life. The friendships I have formed along the way will present a different realm of possibilities that could assist in enabling my success in the future. Most of these individuals already have jobs in their field, some of which have already asked me when I will be getting my degree so that I could apply to work for their company. As I have mentioned before, I am currently working full-time and going to school full-time for human resources as well. I presently have been working as a salesperson for the past 4 years which has allowed me to enhance my communications skills quite a bit. I believe this will help me down the line when I have to go through the interview process. Also, I currently live with my parents which has granted me the luxury of only having to pay a portion of the rent and overhead as home expenses, allowing me to pay my own way through school, out of pocket in an effort to graduate debt free. On that note, I should be finishing with my bachelor’s degree after the 2016 fall semester. To continue, I have extremely supportive girlfriend whom I have been with for over 4 years along with friends, family and co-workers who have been there for me whenever I needed them. With that said, I have always considered myself to be very fortunate in regards to having amazing people in my life as well as having an awesome amount of opportunity to grow and develop as a person.
