Improved While in Blue My time in the Navy made me a better person. I witnessed and experienced many events that made me re-evaluate what I do. For example, respecting others is essential. You learn very fast in the military that if you want respect you are going to have to give it. If you are rude to someone, that person will be just as rude back and you are stuck with that person for a long time. Obviously, it saves a lot of time and energy to respect as many people as possible, even if you do not want too. I also learned how to hold my tongue.
