Madalyn O’Hair, one of the most hated women in the world once said, “The relationships that people have - that are sexual, psychological, emotional - these relationships are not open to supervision by parents, schools, churches, or government. Nobody has any right to intervene at all in any kind of relationship like that.” most will agree with this today;however, the reasoning behind her opinion her is not for a surface matter. Madalyn Murray O’Hair, America's leading Atheist, became one of the nation's most despised people. O’Hair had such strong beliefs that she tried to sue the public school system for official Bible-reading in class, which led to a 1963 Supreme Court case of Murray v. The removal of prayer from our schools was a violation of the third commandment which commands us “not to take the name of the Lord in vain.” Worse than taking the Lord’s sacred name in vain is treating it with contempt, denying it rightful place and stripping it from public use and even from the lips of children. Jesus himself expressed his desire, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them” was also violated by these judges, many of whom were raised in Christian homes.
The First Amendment of the United States Constitution gives both the freedom of religion and freedom of expression. Prayer, just like speech or song, is a form of expression. Prayer in schools can be an opportunity for students, teachers, principals, and other school officials to promote religious tolerance and acceptance. Being exposed to other religions, tears down the stereotypes of people that follow a certain faith and the culture tied to it (Beliefnet). Evolution is being taught in the science classroom through all levels of education. The worse part of this is that evolution can be proven false through science. The first example of this is that birds prove natural selection is naturally wrong. Evolution nonsense says that a wingless bird began to evolve a wing. Why this would occur is not answered by evolutionists. The wing stub did not make the bird more adaptable to his environment. The first wing stubs would be much too small for the bird to fly. The bird with a half-size wing is placed at a disadvantage in its environment. So why would a bird continue for millions of generations to improve a wing stub that is useless? This is the opposite of natural selection
