“Inequalities in the First Civilizations.” In the year 3,500 B.C.E. the first civilizations appeared. There were seven major civilizations that were scattered around the world. There were civilizations in Sumer (southern Mesopotamia), the Nile River Valley (northeast Africa), Norte Chico (Central coastal Peru), Indus and Saraswati River Valleys (Pakistan), China, central Asia, and in the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. The first civilizations tended to develop from earlier, competing chiefdoms that already had some social rankings and economic specializations. No matter if it is a lesser town, or a vast city, there are always some kind of class distinction. In large cities, there are the wealthy and entitled celebrities who avoid any labor of any kind to help around their community/ civilization. In minor towns, you have your high ranking military families who move to and from different communities every so often and are highly respected for what they do for this country. Also, you have your lesser or large business owners who spoil their children so much that they become entitled and selfish people who never help in the community, but since their parents own a business and its putting money into the community nothing is said. Still today the clear majority of the population in civilizations is the “free commoners”. There are numerous farmers, soldiers, and police in our communities today who help around the community, pull their own weight, and still provide for their families. What if we lived in a world where titles and money doesn’t describe who you are? What if instead we lived in a world where when we watched the news we didn’t see any problems, but instead we saw the worthy that people were doing in the civilizations? Those people wouldn’t have any job titles, it would just be their name and what they accomplished to make this place a better civilization instead of all the negativity that is happening around here today. That is why I believe that gender and class distinctions should be stopped, slavery was stopped and gender inequality has come a long way since the first civilization, and it is almost equal, we just need a few more steps to make it official, so what’s stopping
