The most influential person in my life is probably not even aware of the things he has taught me or of how much he has affected my existence. This person has always been in my life, from the day I first opened my eyes to this present moment. This person is my best friend, a guide, and a source of strength and support. He is whom I look up to with loving trust and pride. He showed me how to reach my dreams. This person means the world to me, so who is this influential person in my life? He is my one and only father. My father is a compassionate, hard working, team player, driven person, and I have gained those attributes from him, he has truly impacted my life more than once. My father has given my sister and I everything that we could possibly given. He left his home country for my sister and I to have a better life in America. I didn’t realize how much he has sacrificed or has given his loved ones. I am who I am today because of him.

My father has influenced me to be compassionate based on his actions virus him telling to be compassionate. I gained this from observing him with his elderly father, and my grandfather. My father is compassionate by always going out of his way for family, when my grandfather was very ill my father stood by his side and helped him though everything, for instance when my grandfather had dementia, my father was patient with him and eased him.
