In the final hours of his presidency, President Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered a phenomenal speech that shocked the nation. President Eisenhower warned the people of the United States of the impending dilemmas approaching the future. He offered America advice to mitigate the damages of inevitable catastrophes awaiting. After half a century of complicated problems including two world wars and the great depression, the people had experienced enough hardship. They blatantly ignored the plea of President Eisenhower because it is easier to pretend ignorance than to initiate change.

Senioritis: A Plague Among High Schools? A common illness that is said to strike high schools across the nation and stand as an excuse for plummeting grades from the senior class. It is believed that seniors become incredibly antsy their last year of highschool and are looking into the future for a solution to their bored life, seniors also begin to question whether the classes they are taking are meaningful or not while sloughing off the tension that comes with high school because they have been their four years and know the ropes. Not all seniors are sucked into this mindset, and many continue to further their academic success throughout their senior year.
The speech was a very informative speech, addressing students with various facts and praises of the foundation of North Carolina Central University. NCCU is in fact praiseworthy. In 1910, James E. Shepard founded NCCU under the unique name, “National Religious Training School and Chautauqua for the Colored Race”. James E. Shepard was a pharmacist and religious educator, whom graduated from Shaw University, and later on in 1895, he married his wife Annie D. Shepard. Mrs. Shepard was the one who wrote the lyrics to North Carolina Central University 's Alma Mater, “Dear Old N.C.C”.

As stated previously D.T is a close friend and I had been to her house on numerous occasions; however, I had not been to her residence since the passing of her husband.

That bump you see underneath my shirt is not my cell phone, but my insulin pump. The scars on my finger tips aren’t freckles, but scars from testing my blood sugar over and over each day. I am just your average teenager when it comes to school, family, and friends. But when it comes to my health, I am not so average.

Youth depression Depression. What is depression to you? To me, depression is the constant feeling of being numb. Being numb to emotions, being numb to life, and being numb to your senses.
In a perfect world we would all be eating the right food, exercising, sleeping well and just generally enjoying life. In the real world most of us manage a percentage of the healthy lifestyle and muddle through as best we can with the rest of it. Part of the problem is we are encouraged to think, mostly by the media, that we should be doing everything possible towards a healthy lifestyle, all of the time. For most of us this is just not possible.
