In William Golding’s novel, The Lord of The Flies, he suggests that humans are innately evil because the characters actions support the idea throughout the novel. Throughout the novel, the characters actions and their overall behaviors show how the boys are innately evil. First, the overall enjoyment and pleasure the boys receive when they were torturing and killing the pigs shows the evil that is built up inside of them. Readers can see in the novel, “As they danced, they sang, Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Bash her in” (Golding 75). This passage shows how cheerfully and joyously the boys sang as they were killing and torturing the pig.
