a. The computing innovation represented in the computational artifact is online shopping. Online shopping is meant to make shopping easier, faster, and cheaper. There is also a larger selection in online shops. All that consumers have to do is look up and select the item they want to buy, and pay for it. It is then shipped to their house. This makes it easier to never have to leave your home and go to the store to purchase items. My computational artifact represents this process by showing the steps of how to shop online for a phone. b. To make my artifact, I researched on google the exact steps of online shopping, and the ins and outs of online shopping. That helped me understand what the function and purpose of online shopping actually is. After that, I searched for a phone on amazon and then pressed alt + prtscn to take a screenshot of the screen. Next, I went into Paint to save the photo. After saving, I went onto a PowerPoint and pasted it. I repeated those steps six times to make my artifact. One benefit of online shopping on the economy is that with it being easier and cheaper to purchase things, consumers will be willing to buy more things, thus boosting the economy. More stores are creating websites so their customers can shop from the comforts of their own homes. Online shopping also encourages people to become more tech savvy so that they know how to shop online and get the deals. When shopping online, customers can see all of the reviews of the item to see if they should buy it or not. This helps prevent the purchasing of lousy items, and helps consumers to not waste their own
