2a.) My computational artifact is Steam. The artifact explains what the program Steam is, its pros and cons of steam, and the overall effect it has had on on the computer world. The intended use for Steam is to centralize companies of games onto 1 platform and allow users to form communities centered around games to discuss topics and display achievements, artwork, etc. Before the program steam, video games enthusiasts would have to carry around CDs which would they would lose, crack, or scratch. Now with steam, gamers can store their games on a virtual cloud and can be accessible almost everywhere in the world. For my computational artifact, I took note of some features Steam had that many other gaming platforms did not have. I also used the steam app itself. I went into communities within the Steam program and gathered opinions people had on the app. Then, I used a google search engine and started gathering images that accurately represented the features steam had and put them in a google slide. I then arranged my photos in a way the reader could easily follow, as well as adding arrows and text boxes for descriptions about the images.

2c.) Steam is a revolutionary program because it centralizes a vast community under one program. Although this may sound like a good thing, there are always pros and cons.

Pros: Steam has greatly affected economy. For example, with the steam program, companies and developers are able to distribute and adveriste their newly developed games to millions of users on steam within minutes. This has multiple benefits because video game ethusists find new games they enjoy playing, developers get the funding they need to continue developing games, and company shares skyrocket due to the popularity of the game. Not only does Steam positively affect the economy, it also people to connect from all over the world and share artwork, trade in-game items, etc. Finally, the Steam network has very strong security.
