Agriculture played a pivotal role in the evolution of human life, as well as revolutionize the globe to what it is today. Jared Diamond wrote a book that is called "Guns, Germs and Steel". In the book, he explains why some societies are materially successful than others. He attributes societal success to geography, immunity to germs, food production, the domestication of animals, and use of steel. Other parts of the globe, such as Europe While on a trip in New Guinea, one of the politicians named Yali, asked the question, "Why is it that you white people developed so much cargo and brought it to New Guinea, but we black people had little cargo of our own?", which made him write a book about it.
The perception that all black man are associated with crimes, is a big problem. In the article " People Like Us " by David Brooks he shows that diversity can be a effect from the cause , that black men are often associated with crimes. In the article " Just Walk On By" by Brent Stales, he also shows some effect to his life due to the cause that black man are associated with crimes. Where ever you go , most people associate black man with crime. People are so narrow minded and don’t learn about other cultures or even people in general they end up judging others.

Tony served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. Tony was asked What not only a citizen of the United States was doing during Operation Desert Storm but what was a Veteran doing, during Operation Desert Storm this was his response. Throughout the world, many people debate about what the definition of a patriot is. Some refer it to as the love of country and willingness to sacrifice for it, while others, and believe that being a patriot means to love your country, but also take advantage of your liberties and point out when something might be wrong. It’s like a disease that every man carries. It spreads from one soul to the next like an unstoppable wildfire.
Every story has two things: an event, and a witness. Storytelling is, simply, a witness sharing an event with others who did not see it. The art of storytelling is a creative way to talk about an event with so much detail that the audience of the story comes close to perceiving what the witnesses perceived. A story can be told artistically from two points of view: first person and third person. A first person narrator tells the story of the event from the memory of a witness and third person narrator tells a story from an objective point of view of one who knows more about the characters than the characters themselves.
“The Martian is everything you want from a novel.” Said by Hugh Howey. The Martian is written by Andy Weir, a novel about one of the six astronauts, Mark Watney, gets left behind on Mars. He uses all the limited capacities to survive and seek for the way back home. This romance narrative has been remediate into a movie which demonstrates the obstacles more vividly and delivers an idea of people should never give up themselves through the whole story’s childhood, initiation, underworld and temptation. Watney wakes up in a silent frozen red desert—the Mars.
The book I read was Refugee. Refugee was about three family's hometown who was transformed into a war zone. All the conditions cause them to flee their home, to try and find a safer place for them to live. Joseph was a character that stuck out to me in the book. Joseph was a Jew whose house was invaded by Nazi soldiers.
The book The Martian was a spectacular read and I wanted to tell you about how much I loved reading it. I really enjoyed how you used such expository writing to express each and every one of the character’s emotions and feelings. This really made the reader feel as if Mark Watney and all the other characters were real people and that the event was going on in the real world. The way you created the character Mark Watney, with his sarcastic and funny attitude, is really a mystery to me.
In the United States in the 1920’s and 1930’s, African Americans had developed a sense of victimhood. They felt the need to assimilate to white cultural norms in order to earn the respect of white people, and achieve success. This notion was countered by the black artists, writers and thinkers who emerged as part of the Harlem Renaissance in New York, and who embraced their identities in order to cultivate a rich African American culture. One such visionary was the writer and anthropologist, Zora Neale Hurston. Hurston’s work breathed life into the Harlem Renaissance.
A common questioning of a higher power beyond the physical realm lingers in society: Who and what is God?. However, many of these theological questions cannot be answered until we, of course, die. Due to human’s innate curiosity to understand the forces beyond their own, especially in terms of religion, humans find their own reasons to believe in God in the process of discovery. Religion is a sense of belief and worship to praise a higher power (God), and it provides a guide for human beings to have the opportunity to come together and live as one image of God’s children. “Imagine There’s No Heaven” is an article in which Salman Rushdie, the author, presents an atheistic view where religion is pointless, and a higher being is non-existent.

In nearly all historical societies, sexism was prevalent. Power struggles between genders mostly ended in men being the dominant force in society, leaving women on a lower rung of the social ladder. However, this does not always mean that women have a harder existence in society. Scott Russell Sanders faces a moral dilemma in “The Men We Carry in Our Minds.” In the beginning, Sanders feels that women have a harder time in society today than men do.
