Intake vs Goal Report The objective of this paper is to analyze my personal diet intake or the foods that I consumed during three consecutive days including a weekend day with the goal or the appropriate foods that I should eat. This project is about understanding the effects of consuming too little or too much of a particular nutrient that are unhealthy for the body. According to the report generated by using the Diet Analysis Plus 1 10th Edition the result of the intake vs goal showed that I eat approximately 46.1 kilocalories more than my goal which is 1981 leading to a consume of 102%. The amount of protein that I should eat is 46.81g and the amount of protein that I am eating exceeds the goal amount by 635 meaning that I am eating 29.57g more of protein than my DRI amount. The amount of grains that I should eat is 6.0 oz and the actual amount I am eating is 4.8 oz which leads to a 79.3% of the desired quantity. My plate analysis is suggesting me to make half of me grains whole which mean eating more rice, oats, cereals, cornmeal and bread. The vegetable amount that is suggested is approximately 2.5 cups and the intake amount is 0.7 which recommend me to eat more dark green vegetables, dry beans and peas, and starchy vegetables. The fruit amount that I eat is 89.3% of the recommended amount and the dairy amount taken is 55.1% the suggested quantity. The amount of protein eaten doubles the recommended amount which is 5.5 oz and the suggestion is to eat about 1.5 cups fish weekly, meat and eggs around 26 oz weekly and nuts, seeds and soy products around 4.0 cups weekly. The quantity of empty calories recommended is 258 and the actual amount is 394.7 which is 53% more than the goal therefore I should lower the empty
