These are often specialists at managing projects since they are technically sound. External Project Managers are usually more proficient and have the kind of know-how that companies are looking for. With their specialty they sell themselves and highlight their abilities and knowledge. External project managers are more practical in a given situation than Internal Project Managers, and when they need to make urgent decisions the sake of the project, they would be very clear about those decisions as long as the purposes of the project are met. Because these project managers do not have to worry about issues that occur internally, as such they are more focused on what they need to do. They are not at all affected by company politics, thus making them more capable of completing these projects under the defined guidelines and expectations.
