New Symbol: Interwoven Inspiration The symbol is called Interwoven Inspiration . Physically represented in this symbol are the combination of 4 items of which are vines, hands, the endless knot and the meaning of the number 2. The meaning leads more into something I find both centric and harmonious with surroundings. I create not because I want to look deeper into myself, but because I have a purpose and certain aesthetic I aim to achieve and let others enjoy. That is to say I mean to decorate or illustrate according to the surroundings, or in other words: my art must rely on the surrounding environment to achieve my aesthetic. The endless knot is a well-known symbol majorly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism that also appears in Chinese culture. It represents many things, of which the main point is the intertwining of cause and effect, simplicity and harmonious composition (works cited later). Not only does the endless knot refer to mutual dependence because of how the the giver and receiver are now connected through causation like a ripple in a pond, it is also thought of as being a stylized image of the intestines, which is often a symbol of the absorption of information and nutrients, passing out anything that is not needed (works cited later). I enjoy the idea of movement, impermanence and the weaving of fates. It is as if it is expanding from within the endless towards a continuation, or a connection that can be reached elsewhere than from within. Vines will naturally grow towards the source of sunlight, and that would represent for me my own inspirations and values I can learn from others and reach towards achieving, growing myself and the aesthetics and meaning of my own artwork. This symbol is similar yet must be differentiated from the endless knot object within my symbol. The endless knot represents the center in which I synthesize everything that interacts with each other through cause and effect, while the curling, reaching vines represents the will to expand out of myself and collect more information than my normal range of emotions and lifestyle would reveal. The desire to impose upon knowledge and understanding that is different from my known. To expand my comfort zone little by little as I try to grow myself to become a more varied artist.
