Did you know that Greece invented so many inventions that we still use to this day? You know the Olympics, Greece invented them, Democracy, Greece invented it, art and architecture, Greece invented that as well and so much more. Greece is such an amazing country with so many historical and influential topics. Greece is very famous for what they invented, especially the Olympics. Greece’s three main accomplishments are: The Olympics, Democracy, and Art/Architecture.

Aristotle is a prominent figure in Ancient Greece’s history. He made significant academic contributions to logic, metaphysics, mathematics, physics, biology, botany, ethics, politics, agriculture, medicine, dance and theatre. He was a student of Plato who in turn studied under Socrates. He was more empirically-minded than Plato or Socrates and is famous for rejecting Plato 's theory of forms (iep.utm.edu). Aristotle was the first to classify areas of human knowledge into distinct disciplines such as mathematics, biology, and ethics. Some of these classifications are still used today (keep.utm.edu).

Alexander the Great studied under the famous Aristotle. Aristotle inspired him with an interest in philosophy, medicine, and scientific investigation. After awhile, Alexander the Great decided he wanted to expand his education further than Aristotle would take him. Alexander the Great was a great leader and general. Alexander conquered territory after territory gaining people’s trust and support.
