Investigation Stage Reflection

At the investigation stage, I believe that youth from disadvantaged families deserve opportunities that they do not have because of their family’s situation. My major influences are my personal background and my personality. I came from an average standard of living in Cambodia, my parents both work every day even during the weekend to support my sisters and me to pursue our education. However, I am fortunate to receive the scholarship to this school which decrease the burden on my parents. Yet, there are thousands of more children that are not able to go to university or go to high school. They can not enjoy their life as a normal teenager instead they need to work to earn a living at a really young age. This experience helps me understand and lead me to be an empathetic person. During the initial research, I found the local perspective the easiest to identify because people are expressive about their perspective and ideas on the critical challenge by posting them on blogs or articles on the internet. These problems drag the project to a really long time, therefore, we cannot establish our sustainable action plan which leads to a fall behind for our team. Even though I am the organiser, I was not able to organise our presentation effectively as I am not sure with the proposal an I was not familiar with my teammates yet, in addition, we do not have each other’s mean of contact besides email. I did not discuss with my teammate of what we need to talk about, in the end, we need to do the presentation again in class. What can be changed is that making a group chat, so it is easier to contact each other. Moreover, we need to improve our communication skills and always have a backup plan to our original plan to prevent any problems that
