Isaac Newton was Born on January 14th, 1643. He was born to Hannah Newton and Isaac Newton Senior. Isaac Newton Senior was a prosperous farmer who died just three months before Isaac Newton was born. When Isaac Newton was three years old his mother remarried. She went to live with her new husband and left Isaac to live with his grandmother. When he was twelve years old, he moved in with his mother, after her next husband died. While he was enrolled in school his mother made him drop out so that he would be a farmer. So, he then returned to school upon the persuasion of his mother by a former student from Cambridge University where Newton was to attend. When he arrived at Cambridge, the theory of a heliocentric universe was heavily favored opposed to other theories doubting it. During his first three years at Cambridge, he was taught the basics of the curriculum but was fascinated by advanced science. He spent all of his free time studying other philosophers. In 1669 Newton received his degree in Master of Arts right before his 27th Birthday. He then became a professor in which he gave lectures every day about planetary motion, which was easier to do since he had invented the Reflecting Telescope. 3 Years Following the invention of the telescope in 1671 he was asked by the Royal Society to provide a demonstration and due to their interest in his work he published his notes on light, color, and optics a year later. Upon the release of his notes, a well-known scientist named Robert Hooke criticized his theory about white light being a mixture of all
