Sir Isaac Newton was an philosopher, astronomer, physicist, scientist, and mathematician. He was born on January 4, 1643 and died in March 31, 1727. Born in Woolsthorpe, England he was known as one of the greatest minds of the 17th century Scientific Revolution. With discoveries in optics, motion and mathematics, Newton developed the principles of modern physics. In 1687 he published one of his most famous works “Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy)”, which has been called one of the most influential books in physics.
Newton was the only son of a successful farmer, who was also named Isaac Newton, and died three months before he was born. He was a premature baby born tiny and weak; expected

The first law stating that every object will remain at rest until is is acted upon. This is normally known as the definition of inertia. If there is no net force acting on a object then the object will maintain a constant velocity. If there is no velocity in a object then it remains at rest. If an external force is applied the velocity will change because of the force. The second law explains how the velocity of an object changes when it is subjected to an external force. The law defines a force to be equal to change in momentum with the change in time. The third law states that for every force there is an equal and opposite reaction. For example, if object A exerts a force on object B, then object B also exerts an equal force on object …show more content…
I find interesting because he had discoveries in science and mathematics but not anything to do with law. But as I researched he did become fascinated with science after entering college. This goes to show how one's interests could change over time and have an big impact on their life.
Although he did not excel in high school he did attend college. Where he was admitted and had studied law. His mother refused to pay his college fees so he worked as a servant to pay his way through. He had kept a journal where he was able to express his ideas on various topics. In 1665 he graduated with a bachelor's degree. Unfortunately the college had got shut down because of a dangerous contagious disease. So he had to leave the school. In 1666 the college reopened and newton then went back and obtained his masters degree.
Sir Isaac Newton received several awards and honors such as a knighthood, the top mathematics professor at Cambridge University, admission to the Royal Society, a seat in Parliament and burial in Westminster
