Everyone is Influenced even if you don’t notice, but the main showing of influence is in music. For years, songwriters have influenced their audiences without them knowing. They use specific lyrics and ideas from their past to help influence the listener. J Cole, a hip-hop artist, uses his lyrics to help influence and guide the listener to not make the same mistakes as him and try to make a positive impact. Hip-hop artist J Cole was born on January 28, 1995. J Cole has 7 studio albums: Cole World, 2014 FHD, Born Sinner, 4 Your Eyez Only, KOD, The Off-Season, and Might Delete Later. J. But how do you get it? His song “Love Yourz” has deep lyrics explaining you’ll always be envious until you love what you have. In the song it’s written “But you ain't never gon' be happy 'till you love yours”. This lyric, is trying to explain that you’ll never find happiness until you’re satisfied with what you have. When J Cole says “What’s money without happiness?” The deeper meaning to it is that no matter how much money you own, it won’t give you sufficient happiness. In his song “Crooked Smile”, he talks about self-worth and how it's important to love yourself despite flaws. A deep lyric in the song “Crooked Smile” is “Cause what's real is something that the eyes can't see, That the hands can't touch, That the broads can't be, and that's you”. When listening you think that it’s trying to convey being overconfident, when in reality it’s saying be yourself. J Cole writes, “But we got dreams and we got the right to chase 'em”.
