A native of Dutchess County, Jackie Chatfield joined Literacy Volunteers of Dutchess County Board of Directors in 1998 (now Literacy Connections). The Board President at the time, Mark Mulpeter, recommended Jackie to the organization and the agency could not have gained a finer literacy advocate and friend. In 1996, Jackie retired from Central Hudson after 44 years of loyal service in the Community and Consumer Relations Department. Jackie brought with her that deep sense of loyalty and commitment to Literacy Connections. Quickly advocating for the organization and actively participating in events and fundraising.
