Our famous player number 42 of the Dodgers was an outstanding Trailblazer. Jackie Robinson had went through challenges before his baseball career. However even with these challenges in his life Jackie still excelled in his goals of baseball. We all recognize and remember Jackie for baseball, but what did he do after that? Well, to grasp that we have to know what he did before baseball.

Jackie R. Robinson was born on Jan. 31, 1919 in Cairo, Georgia. There was a record of slavery is his family. His mom is Mallie Robinson, and his father was Jerry Robinson. They were married in 1909. Jerry soon left Mallie to “ visit” his brother in Texas, but never returned. Jackie thinks of his father as harsh for leaving his mom and his four siblings. After his father’s departure, the Robison family moved to California. Edgar was the oldest of the siblings. Frank was the second oldest, Mack was the third oldest, and Willa Mae was the fourth oldest. Jackie was the youngest. Soon he campaigned for Richard Nixon. While campaigning for Nixon, Jackie felt like quitting a lot. In 1962 Jackie Robinson was inducted in the Hall of Fame. The qualification to get in were to be in the major leagues for 10 years. Have 75% of ballots, and a big contribution to the game. Jackie was ecstatic he got in by the qualification ps and not by any other reasons. As his life continued Jackie Jr. was becoming a trouble-maker, and had negative thoughts toward school. Jackie Jr. even ran away!!! However, he did return home, and joined the army. While Jackie Jr. was away, Jackie helped with civil right movements. Jackie soon faced breathing problems, and diabetes becoming older. To make things worst Jackie Jr. started Marijuana, and was discharged from the army in 1967. Jackie Jr. was soon sent to jail and rehab. He died in 1971 from a car accident. Jackie died a year later at age
