Hinduism is the foundation for many new and complex religions, Buddhism and Jainism being some of the most big or popular ones. Because of their origin in Hinduism Brahmanism, they both have many similarities to one another, yet they also both have distinct differences that help each religion create their own central ideal and purpose. After considering all aspects of each religion, I will then be able to determine which one comes closest to the Hinduism of the Upanishads.
