Jake's Humanistic Approach

After Jake started taking harder classes in his major his university’s counselor diagnosed him with an anxiety disorder. There are three different approaches and treatments that Jakes psychologist could recommend. To begin with, the first one is the humanistic approach, which focuses on human potential, free will and self-actualization. For instance, if Jakes Psychologist was to take a humanistic approach he/she could say that Jake doubts his abilities to complete his schoolwork, which in turn is making him freak out. As treatment, Jake should study more that way he can feel more confident in his studies and it will help him realize it isn’t as bad as he thinks.
