As you know, our sales at the Janet Lefter Dining Room has not been doing so well. I think investing into social media platforms will help increase our sales. As we all know, social medias have been overwhelmingly popular in the last decade. Each one of us in this room has at least one social media platforms, whether its Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and etc. And how many times were we influenced by the ads or your friend’s pictures to try out that restaurant or visit that vacation spot? I think plenty. This is why we should use social media platforms as our advantage to help our sales growth. Studies have been done showing using social medias can help businesses grow. For instance, Facebook has 1.13 billion daily active users. There are no other network boasts the same user as Facebook. According to Facebook, “Every user is connected to one another by an average of 3.57 degrees of separation.” This is where word-of-mouth comes into play, and as you’ve heard, that’s the strongest from of advertising. Moreover, Facebook has a page that is dedicated specifically for restaurants. This business page can help us kick start our restaurant’s social media campaign as it includes pointed on how to make an ad, how to choose audience, and how to select a budget. Furthermore, Facebook allows us to connect with our customers/future customers in a more personal level. Things like answering their questions and interacting with them. This way, they can “share” our page to their Facebook friends, and it will spread to hundreds of people
