Bernal Diaz del Castillo Bernal Diaz was born in 1492 or 1498 to Maria Diaz Rejón and Francisco Diaz del Castillo, a regidor (council member) of the town of Medina del Campo, in Castilla y León. The family was distinguished but not wealthy. In 1514, Bernal went to seek his fortune in America with Pedrarias Dávila (Pedro Árias de Ávila), Bishop Fonseca's newly appointed governor of Castilla del Oro. A cruel and unscrupulous schemer, Pedrarias excelled at extorting riches by torturing native rulers, looting gems and gold from their graves, and eliminating potential rivals. (Pedrarias had his prospective son-in-law Balboa and four companions beheaded on trumped-up charges in 1519.)

Alarcón 's mission was to provide supplies for Francisco Coronado 's expedition in search of the fabled Seven Cities of Cibola. They became first non-Indians to sight Alta California on September 5, 1540. His family hoped he would become a lawyer, but he told his father he would rather explore the West Indies.

Even though Rose’s stats says he belongs in the Hall of Fame, he has been banned for breaking the rules. People who break the rules should be punished. It shouldn’t matter that that person is a small child or the president of the United States. Rose, like many other athletes, has made personal mistakes that happen to become public knowledge. Seeking glory and riches, he left on a major expedition in 1538 to conquer Florida for Spain. He and his men traveled throughout the southeastern united states in search of money. In 1541, De Soto became the first Europeans to cross the Mississippi river. De Soto died early the following year.

Cesar Chavez History Day Project One Mexican American farm worker dedicated his days to better the lives of his people, his name was Cesar Chavez. Horrendous treatment of farmworkers caused Chavez to take a stand for what he believed in, for no one should be treated poorly because of race or social class. During Chavez’s life, he organized peaceful protests, boycotts, as well as participated in a historic 36 day "Fast for life". Chavez not only changed the working rights for farm workers but subsequently gave dignity to the working class of America. The legacy that Cesar Chavez left behind was that he became the most important leader of the Latino people in the United States, and he founded the still standing United Farmworkers of America.

Pedros dad died when Benilda; his mother, was three months pregnant with her son at the time of his father's death.
On November 15,Officer Jeronimo Yanez was charged with manslaughter and various gun charges due to a shooting at a routine traffic stop. On July 6, almost 5 months ago, Officer Jeronimo Yanez pulled over Philando Castile, with the assumption that he was involved in a robbery that happened a few days prior. Mr. Castile had his girlfriend and his child in the car when he was pulled over. After handing the officer his license and registration, Mr. Castile that he was armed, but there was a permit for the gun with his papers.

When I reflect on the physicians who inspired me to go into medicine, I see people who are not only immersed in their craft but utilize unconventional ways to not only progress the field of medicine but also our understanding of the human condition. People like Oliver Sacks, Atul Gawande, Adam Gazzaley, and the like who practice and have a larger platform delving into utilizing medicine as a tool for larger social purposes—using the power of art along the way. Killing a human's considered murder, depending on how extensive it is, has different charges; such as: first-degree murder, second-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and involuntary manslaughter. A human has a heartbeat, but so does every living thing. So, what gives people the right to kill something that has a heartbeat but has not been born yet? Under very slim circumstances is it alright to kill something that has not been born yet; however, there are still arguments about abortion and whether it is right or not. Many people find it wrong and some say it is against their religion to abort an unborn child; on the other hand, people think it is the woman's right to choose to keep the child, from a case of rape, incest or health issues threatening the mother's life.
