The theme statement of the story, “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury is that jealousy can make you blind and selfish to others. At the beginning of the story, the actions and things that Margot experiences, her point of view, affect how the kids are jealous and selfish of Margot, as the story progressed, revealing actions, points of view, and dialogue affected how the other kids treated Margot, and at the end of the story, the tone and dialogue affect how the kids now feel towards Margot which is guilt.
