Dahmer usually strangled his victim to death and then engaged in sexual acts before he cut them up and disposed of them. He also experimented with many ways of disposing the bodies just for his own entertainment. Dismembering them, dissolving them in chemicals, or even keeping parts of them as souvenirs. He would take picture of victims during many stages of his gruesome murder process so he could relive his work afterwards. Even when he got bored he would take skulls that he kept as souvenirs and other genitalia and masterbate in front of and in to them to pleasure himself. He originally pleaded not guilty but then later pleaded guilty with insanity after realizing the results would end better (Biography.com Editors). Dahmer, realizing the pain he had caused the families of the victims felt bad for his actions and wished for his own death (Crime Library). Wisconsin has no death penalty so Dahmer was sentenced to 15 consecutive life terms in prison. He later pleaded guilty for Hicks murder and got another life term added making him have 16 life terms hanging over his head. Dahmer would be eligible for parole in 936 years.
