As I scrolled the most remarkable designs I had ever seen, I reassured my career election. “She’s so talented and distinguished”, I thought. “Someday I will be like her”. This is how, unintentionally and definitely by chance, I came across Jessica Walsh’s successful artwork, and decided to look into it.
As I explored her studio’s website, I realized Walsh’s success was by far better than I expected; “… a designer and art director living in NYC… Her work has won most major design awards and has been featured in numerous books, galleries, museums and magazines worldwide. She has received numerous distinctions such as Forbes Magazine "30 under 30 top creatives designing the future".” (About – Sagmeister & Walsh). That being the case, we could all agree with Zachary Petit’s –journalist and magazine editor– when he precisely stated: “There’s something you should know …show more content…

This merging allowed her to put aside the generic designs, and step into a modern way of expressing not only the client’s desires, but also her inner self.
However, there is something I found further significant than her talent; Walsh’s passion is undoubtedly, her most admirable quality. Stefan Sagmeister –her coworker- stated in his interview with Zachary Petit, “Her portfolio was good, but what impressed me more was her enthusiasm, it was very clear that she loved design and wanted to put everything she has into it.” (32-37)
For this reason, she inspires me in my progress of building a career as a graphic designer, and even though she did not influence my career choice, she opened my eyes to an entire unknown dimension of creativity and innovation in the field. Therefore, I believe she qualifies as an exemplary role model, not just for being an entrepreneur in the design area, but for being a tenacious woman who managed to work her way
