Also, Sneeden skills as a Field Training Officer, mentor and role model makes him a valuable asset as a leader. Sneeden was able to articulate the furtherance of the Agency Mission by expressing the importance of forming relationships with the community using methods such as foot and bike patrol. In addition, Sneeden understands the challenges our agency will face in the future and was able to give good ideas such as using social media as a recruiting tool, assign season quality FTO’s and encourage personnel to recruit from within our diverse
The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.

Coming from a different culture but still embracing the Christian values that Loma Linda University emphasizes, I believe that my unique background and personal experiences distinguish my application from others. Growing up in Egypt, where the gap between social classes is significant, my parents always stressed the need to prioritize service into my life encouraging me to dedicate time in volunteering and helping others. As a result, my experience has grown from volunteering to serve as a camp leader for orphans in the summer to participating in international dental service trips. These involvements would allow me to use my skills in organizing missions trips at Loma Linda. Being a Coptic Orthodox Christian enables me to add diversity to the
I am a twenty-two-year-old Jewish American with roots in both Russia and Hungary. This makes me an Ashkenazi Jew. An Ashkenazi Jew is someone whose ancestors originated in Eastern Europe. I was raised as a Reform Jew during my childhood, and I still practice my religion. I like to go to the temple on High Holy Days and celebrate holidays with my family.
However, it is clear to me that I must work as a leader and manage many services for my community. It will be a benefit for me, my community,
Through serving others, I have come to realize that every person, regardless of one’s cultural background, has something to offer to the community. As an immigrant, I was quite hesitant about accepting new challenges. The fear of others’ judgment regarding my performance hindered my progress. However, through serving others in various capacities, I was able to interact and help people in my community, who themselves helped me overcome my fears. Whether helping patients at St. John Providence or assisting refugees at the American Red Cross, I was amazed as to how much my presence made a difference, especially for those who needed me to interpret for them.
As I move into my appointed service community, I will have been taught the best
I love working with children and have an interest in the homeless epidemic, which seems to be especially serious in Pittsburgh. I have decided to volunteer through the Homeless Children’s Education Fund, specifically at the Sojourner House MOMS after school program and the children’s programs. Sojourner House MOMS program provides a safe and independent housing system for homeless, single mothers who are diagnosed with both a drug addiction and a mental health disorder. The program helps mothers to continue their recovery journey and eventually helps them to transition back into the community.
Through my graduate studies, volunteer experiences, and mentorship, I hope to learn how to become an effective leader and a person who can make a difference in the world by finding ways and means to better serve the children and the youths in our communities and
I, as my application states, have the label of "Jewish" next to my name. To me "Jewish" had always been little more than just that, a label. I attended Sunday School for several years, spending the majority of my time there wishing I could be doing just about anything but sitting in that small, rundown building. My mom had always attended Sunday School as a child. Naturally, she believed I should be raised similarly.

Rachel Dryer Dr.Fore TUNI110 13 February 2023 In my later years of middle school, I began dreading going to school. It wasn't the classes or the teachers, instead it was my peers who made attending school a challenge. I remember feeling extremely isolated like I had no one to turn to. Woefully, I was tormented for something I couldn't even control; my religion.
The Jewish home and family as its core are the basis for the existence of the Jewish people. That's why the Jews created a greater awareness of the importance of behavior in the context of marriage about purity laws home. The Torah teaches to distinguish between pure and impure, and what can cause damage to our body and soul. The Jewish religion seeks to give us life at its best and, obviously, not death. Away from all that is bad to the body and the soul, so that our people not to defile the temple disappears.
The definition I take away from the word culture is a group of people with the shared beliefs, values and practices. However, there are many different types of groups that have are cultured. For instance, and probably the first thought of culture when thinking about culture groups is religious cultures. But there are so many different genres such as national culture also known as foreign culture. There is ethnic culture or culture of diversity, pop culture, and even corporate culture.
