A leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. Being a leader is a hard task, in the book The Odyssey and in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou, both Odysseus, and Everett have chosen to be the leader and lead their men toward the “treasure”. While both men are leaders, I think that Odysseus was the better leader compared to Everett.
“I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me... All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” That is what I believe a main character trait that makes him a leader. The definition of a leader is a person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. His legacy is one
A leader is someone who stands out from the ordinary. A leader is someone who takes the interest of others and pushes them and motivates them to become a better person. We all have a leader that we look up to, and mine just happens to be my very own father. Growing up my father always said, “When you are a leader you don’t look down on the people below you, instead you get on their level and help them, put just as much work in as them, and that’s a leader.” My father started up his own company from dirt, and he even had people buying his RV’s in Europe and across the world.
A leader is a person with the power or the ability to lead others, this relates to being a hero because a hero cannot do all work on their own. A hero must have help from others who are willing to follow them and help them with their final goal. This is shown is John C. Maxwell’s quote “A leader is someone who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. What he means is that someone who is considered a leader can know the right path, and be able to help someone else on that same path, and continue on that path with that person.
John Maxwell once said "a good leader is a person who takes a little more than his share of the blame and a little less than his share of the credit." Leaders aren’t always in positions of authority. They’re just standing by ready to take the reins if needed. Leadership is one of life’s most difficult tasks. It challenges individuals to go above and beyond.
A leader is someone you can look up to with admiration. A proper leader does not mislead the people that stand with them. They are open, honest, and responsible. They don’t hide their failures. They own up to their mistakes because that’s what leaders do.
In accordance to the Camden Academy Charter High School National Honor Society application process I will be writing an essay based on the four pillars of the National Honor Society Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service and how they apply to me. Scholarship applies to me mostly through my scholastic work ethic, I am primarily intimating around my transition from sophomore year to junior year. When I first entered the CACHS school system I started out just like any other kid with regular classes and everything. Then around the final week of my sophomore year my teachers started coming to me talking about taking advanced courses for my junior year a topic I didn’t really think much about. My first teacher to come to me about advanced

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES 26. The dictionary meaning of Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization, or the ability to do this. According to Dwight D. Eisenhower “Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it. To become an effective Military Leader, one need to have some significant leadership qualities”.
The very first thing that makes up a good leader, is knowledge. With knowledge, leaders are able to take good decisions. Therefore I consider Rick Grimes from "The Walking Dead" as someone who makes up a good leader. What makes him a good leader is his knowledge, responsibility, and bravery. To begin with, Rick Grimes, the leader of a group of people who want to survive a zombie apocalypse, is their leader because he knows what and what shouldn't be done in order to survive.
Leadership defined is a person who takes initiative to aid others during their every day activities. They makes sacrifices of their time and personal interests for others. I believe I fit this description because I take time out of my day to help the people around me who need it. I help my sister with her English homework. I also help classmates with their English work.
The movie Lean On Me related a lot to things we talked about in class this semester. The first situation was when the head of the district came to Joe and tells him he is nothing and tears him down and that he would not be able to fix the troubled high school. By the head guy doing this to Joe it motivated him to take this as a challenge and created a need for achievement. This is talked about in the motivation chapter, chapter 12. I believe this was the best method of motivating Joe since the high school had so many problems and had so much to be done to turn it around and have the majority pass the basic skills test.

Introduction Leadership is the art of empowering people around you to achieve a goal. As a leader I want to help others become leaders themselves. I firmly believe that by leading based on my values this will be accomplished. I have had many leadership influences throughout my career. Some of them showed me the way I wanted to someday lead and others showed me exactly how not to.
