Joe Hester Biography

In the city of Boston, Massachusetts holds a young man named Joe Hester. Joe has always had a mediocre life. His favorite thing to do is play lacrosse. Although this used to be his passion, he fractured his leg and didn’t play sports for two years. Joe never thought he would be able to get back into the game and be as good as he was previous to the injury. Throughout his time of not being on a lacrosse team he got into the bad things in life, hung around with the wrong people and was in a sense lost in life. But all of this was about to end. His personal realization was about to occur to him within a short amount of time, and so the story begins. Joe was in bed thinking about everything in his life. Thinking that maybe he should change something.

As he is walking he bumps into a middle aged man. The grown man turns around and jolts himself up. The man stared down Joe for a solid minute not saying anything. Of course Joe was scared out of his mind thinking this guy was going to beat him up or chase him down the street for miles. Instead the man says “You’re the legend. You’re Joe Hester. Nice to meet you lad I’m Mikey Powell, I have been looking for you the past two years”. Completely shocked, Joe asks again for reassurance “You’re Mikey Powell? And you’re looking for me?”. “Yes,” says Mikey as he shoves Joe into the coffee shop “Lets talk”. They both sit down at the nearest table and Mikey gives Joe an offer. “Listen kid, I have something very important for you to do. I need you to get back into lacrosse. My team, the Powell Shooters are going down to Maryland tomorrow for the biggest tournament of the year and we need a player like you. Someone who can lead this team to a championship. This is not a question either, you have to come. I will be at your house to get you at 5am for our flight tomorrow morning. See you then

Joe is still in a coma and the team is devastated they won’t have him on the field. Before the game, Coach Mikey prays to have Joe wake up and builds the strength to show up to the game to give the rest of the team the strength sand confidence to win the ship. After three quarters passed Mikey prays one last time, and it somehow works. Out of nowhere Joe wakes up and immediately has the strength to get up and go. Joe looks at the date and time and realizes the championship game is going on as he is laying down. He hastily calls a taxi and gets a ride to the field. Paying extra cash for the cab to go faster he makes it there just in time for the end of the game. Joe couldn’t be more upset that he missed his last game with this team. But he forgot one thing. He didn’t check the scoreboard and it actually said it was five to five, in overtime. He runs over to Mikey who couldn’t be more stunned and joyous to see him. Joe throws on his gear and heads out to the field for the last two minutes of OT. The face-offs begin and Powell Shooters win it. One pass, two passes, three passes and one finally to Joe. Joe takes it to the back right corner of the field and sets up his best dodge. He goes into the defender and does his thing and swiftly gets by him. Another defender runs at Joe but he swim dodges him and ducks under the midfielder jumping at him. The goalie comes out of the net to hit Joe. Joe dives
