A survivor is with no doubt a hero, a survivor has lived through emotional hardships, and unexplainable events that seem unreal to anyone who did not go through them. Survivors still manage to persevere when times get hard and push on because they know it is the only way that can save their lives. Many of the stories compare to each other when looking deep into the details of a story. The article “Miraculous survivors: Why they live while others die” by John Blake relates to the third article “Survival Tips” because Kiley uses one of the strategies, which is tip number five. The second comparison is between the second article “Teen Girl Survives Plane Crash” and the third article “Survival Tips” because Autumn Veatch does a similar technique to the one talked about in tip number six. The second article is about a teen girl, Autumn Veatch, and her journey of survival after a plane crash. Veatch was badly injured from the crash emotionally and physically, she had bruises and burns and emotionally she had to face the fact the she had to leave her grandparents and go on for her own chances of survival. The text states, “She followed the river to a trail, and the trail lead to a highway” (“Teen Girl” 1). Veatch was smart enough to follow the flowing water conscious or not of this idea it was what made her survive. This relates to the article “Survival Tips” because survival tip number six states, “...following the river will eventually bring you to civilization” (“Survival Tips” 2).
