John Brown: Freedom Fighter or Terrorist
In the world today there are many definitions of terrorism, but there is not one definition for terrorism because not everyone can agree on one. I believe John Brown is a freedom fighter, but the actions he attempted like at Harper's Ferry and Pottawatomie Creek is most likely to be a terrorist act. When John Brown was young he lived in a religious family. John Brown memorized the Bible and strongly believed in God. His family believed that there should be no slavery. When John Brown was older he took a vowel to be an abolitionist which means someone who is against slavery.
John Brown thought that if he wasn't getting "lucky" pleasing God therefore he wasn't trying to be a perfect young adult. Brown thought if he pleased God he would live for eternity in heaven. So John wanted

Terrorist groups create mass murder and destruction to get what they want. John Brown did the acts of murder and destruction, he believed he was doing these actions for the right cause and his beliefs. Many terrorist groups do they things that they do because they believe it is the right thing to do. I believe John Brown did the acts he did to help other and do the right thing to help the country.
I believe John Brown was freedom fighter more than a terrorist because he did things that a freedom fighter would do to. The attack at Pottawatomie Creek John Brown and his company of free state volunteers murdered five men along the creek in Kansas. The men that they killed were associated with the pro-slavery Law but they did not slave owners.
He is very difficult to talk about in terms of terrorism and freedom fighter because he has done the events of both. The attack at Harper's Ferry was the last attempt to help free slaves, but the United States Marines stopped Brown he tried to initiate a slave rebellion in 1859 by taking over the U.S arsenal.
