From this book I obtained information on The Freedmen’s Bureau. In March the Bureau was established to do wonderful things for the economy and its people. The Bureau was mainly to help the poor whites and blacks. The Bureau gave food to the hungry, medicine to the sick, and it even established schools for people who lacked education. Jobs were even provided to people who were out of work especially people with families.

The Man that changed America: The John Hancock Legacy Bob Dylan once declared, “A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.” Throughout history our country had many remarkable people who have changed our nation’s future throughout the course of time. People such as John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams, George Washington, and etc. were remembered and are prominent in parts of individuals’ daily lives. But a person like John Hancock, a limited amount of the population in the Unites States knows about him. Even though he is not remembered, John Hancock is one of the founding fathers and played a pivotal role that changed the fate of our nation.
John Hancock made the world a better place in many ways. But he didn't make the world a better place by doing one thing….. he did many things. For example, he was a merchant, statesman and a prominent Patriot of the American Revolutionary War. He also served as president of the Second Continental Congress and was the first and third Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Dear Walter Dean Myers, Affiliations can be potential, essential, influential, and of course consequential. Steve, you entered an unthinkable, unimaginable situation, a sequence containing mental and emotional carousels. This evidential trial threw your young self into an overwhelming state, where people who did not know the slightest thing about you wanted you in jail for your entire life--the prosecutor, Sandra Petrocelli, and many citizens who accused YOU of killing Mr.Nesbitt. Your trial highlights the significance of association, how one can be caught up in gang violence, persuasion, on any occasion. They wanted 25 years to life from you, they wanted to deprive you of your late youth, and take away your whole adulthood.
University of Arizona is such one of the greatest school through the whole US nation, there were lots of famous and great people came out from this spectacular school. Besides those illustrious people, most of them had some really interesting stories behind them, such as John Salmon, the “creator” of the most famous slogan in Arizona, the “bear down”. The slogan “bear down” came from John Salmon, who was famous for his football skill and his nickname “button”. He was one of the greatest student body president and quarter back in the history of University of Arizona.
At the end of signing a huge signature on the Declaration of Independence, John Hancock said, “There, I guess King George will be able to read that without his spectacles!” John Hancock changed the course of a war that was bound to be won by the British, and did so in a manner of elegance that could not be compared. Some would even argue that his role in the Revolutionary War was as significant as George Washington or Benjamin Franklin. Born on January 12, 1737, in what is now Quincy, Massachusetts, John Hancock was orphaned at a young age and taken in by his uncle, Thomas Hancock. A wealthy businessman and successful merchant, Thomas Hancock groomed John to one day take over his shipping business.
Lydia Maria Child was a prolific author, anti-slavery leader, and a massachusetts abolitionist. In the 12th document “Letter to John Greenleaf Whittier, January 21, 1862” from the book and “John Brown’s Invasion: Colonel J. Lucius Davis Lydia Maria Child’s Reply to Gov. Wise, November 19, 1859” from the New York Tribune, Child emphasizes that slavery has infected the foundation of the nation’s life. Although both documents have the comparison of discussing slavery, the letter and newspaper have contrasts in the terms of who is pro-slavery and anti-slavery. The “Letter to John Greenleaf Whittier” is a letter written by Lydia Maria Child to John Greenleaf Whittier, a poet and a massachusetts abolitionist who urged the Lincoln administration for a more conclusive action against slavery. At this time, Child had called for universal emancipation and black enlistment in the military from the beginning of

In 1655, founder of Rhode Island, Roger Williams documented his views on politics and religious affairs to make them clear to the public. This documentation of his morals and principals was called Letter to the Town of Providence. In his letter he addresses the people and tells them that he is making no mistake by voicing his opinion. Williams takes his position with an analogy. He describes society as a boat.
The Importance of Being On Time Respect is something that we all desire, but earning it is no easy task. One of the most respectable traits anyone can have, civilian or soldier can have is time management. When you report for duty, or be on time for your date, time management should be a must. By not managing your time well, you could disrupt not only the course of your day, but others as well. Keeping your word and showing up on time shows that you are reliable and appreciate the other person's time as well.
