In analyzing the four Gospels of Jesus Christ, is an excellent master plan about His life, and purpose in who Jesus is. In understanding the scripture of Matthew 16:13-16, Jesus challenged his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” When the disciple answered Jesus’ question, they only replied to what they observed; however, the people sincerely did not know. With the observation of the disciples, “Some says John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” (Matthew 16:14) Jesus realized that the people had a lack of knowledge of knowing who He is; but the conclusion of the matter is, what are the disciples' discernment of who Jesus is? According to the Gospel of John, Christ gives a complete revelation of himself, and of God, than in any of the synoptic gospels. John had his way of expressing his spiritual relationship that he had with Jesus. His belief of knowing who Jesus is and understanding the power of believing gave him insight and ability to experience the life of Jesus. The power of believing comes from the source of faith to believe. Believing and having faith in God "is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things unseen" (Hebrews 11:1 King James Version). The four Gospels give clear emphasis on their priorities. In the Gospel of Matthew, there is a strong emphasis on who Jesus is as a teacher. The gospel of Mark emphasized the character of Jesus’ active compassion and the gospel of Luke emphasize Jesus as the Son of man. All identified who Jesus is. In the Gospel of John, God gave a greater emphasis on a clear vision of who Jesus is. In His person and attributes in John are; The Messiah, (John 4:26); The Bread of Life, (John 6:35); From Above, (John 8:23); The Eternal One, (John 8:58; The Light of the World (John 9:5); The Door, or gate (John 10:7); The Lord and Master, (John 13:13); and one of my favorite, The Way, The Truth, and The Life, (John 14:6). This experience gave me the truth and wisdom of who Jesus is. What is so significant, is knowing about the Gospels of Jesus Christ. In my reading, I’ve learned how the importance of knowing the New Testament, which is consist of the four Gospels that gives me the understanding and the revelation of who Jesus is. The New Testament has always been a question of how it happened, how it was found and how it was organized and developed. Reading about the background and content of the books of the New Testament gave me more understanding about the historical background, authorship and the religious ideas emphasized in each book and the New Testament as a whole, which helped me to understand scripture thoroughly and apply it to my life more efficiently. Knowing that the New Testament is the new beginning of life, and faith, which is my conscious of my spiritual lifestyle. The New Testament is designed to give us a precise meaning of faith, “Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]” (Hebrews 11:1, Amplified
