Early Life
John Wayne Gacy was born on March 17, 1942 to parents John Stanly and Marion Elane Gacy. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. When he was born his home life on the outside seemed to be what people would call “blue collar”, however, on the inside of the household there was lots of abuse going on. Gacy's father was violent and drunk and was very cruel to young John. His father would make very homophobic comments and would beat Gacy if he did something he did not approve of. The best one that described Gacy would have to be ENTJ. This personality type is classified as the commander style. Starting with the E, this letter stands for extroverted (16personalities.com). Gacy was always one of the first people to start talking with all of the neighbors and would socialize with every kid and person on the block he just had an easy way about him. He was always making relationships with everyone as well (John Wayne Gacy Gale). The N stands for intuitive. This means that a person is well thought out and thorough with the way that they do things. Gacy was this way as well. He would curate plans on how he wanted to seduce or trick his victims in order to assault and kill them. He formulated exactly where he wanted to hid them and would then figure out how to mask all of the things he had done. The T stands for thinking. In this instance the T would mean that instead of using emotions to act on a plan Gacy would act out his crimes on the basis of his thoughts and reasoning. This is what he would do. Gacy would act on his wants. He had no compassion for the people he chose. This aspect would also be on the basis of his thought out plans and executions of his crimes. The J would stand for judgment. This is where the impulse factor comes into play. His victim was Tim Mcoy hw would become known as the “Greyhound bus boy”. Not much was further known because he was never reported missing. It is said thought that Gacy picked up the boy at the greyhound bus station which earned him the name. He was found in the crawlspace under Gacys home. John (Johnny) Butkovich was the scond known. He went missing July 31, 1975 and was 17 years old. Gacy would come to use his usual tactics on this young boy after Johnny and Gacy got into an altercation about back pay that Johnny had earned (Murderpedia.com). It was said that Gacy brought young John to his home and forces him inot sexual favors and tricked him inot handcuffs. He would use the “rope trick” which was to tie up his victims and say it was sexual kink and then be so aggresive that they would die. This is what happened to Johnny however was found underneath Gacys garage unlike the others. This was because Gacy had another employee build more space when he “got bored” and needed more space. Darrell Samson is the third he was 16 or 17 and disappeared April 6 1976. In my research i couldent find any specifics of his death, however it is believed that he was killed the same way as the others. Samson was found in the crawspace of gacys home. The next victim was Randall Reffett he was 15 and disappeared May 14th 1976 and he was also found in the crawlspace of the home. Samuel stapleton was 14 years old and disappeared may 14th
