John Wayne Gacy was born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago. His parents were John Stanley Gacy and Marion Elaine Robison. John Wayne Gacy’s father struggled with alcoholism when John Wayne Gacy was at a young age. John Wayne Gacy would get beaten with a razor strap when he misbehaved. The beating first started when he was about four years old, when he was disagranging car engine components. John was always treated badly by his father at the age of 4 years old. John Gacy has been molested by family, friends and contractors between the ages of 10 and 12. Also, John Gacy would have black outs and frequent seizures in the teen years of his life. John Gacy got a job as a salesman and manager of a shoe company. Then in 1964, John Gacy became engaged to Marlynn Myers and they would have had two children together over the years living in Waterloo, Iowa. John Gacy would do many things in his community like organize cultural gatherings and was active in the political organizations for a while. As soon as later, Gacy would be in a group called the “Jolly-Jokers” which was located in the Chicago area. While Gacy was in these “Jolly Jokers,” he would frequently perform in his clown attire and clown makeup for charity events and children parties. While he was doing these events, it would build his ego as “Poge the Clown” or “ Patches the Clown.” While as “Patches the Clown,” Gacy would have made his first sexual assault crime.
