234 Words1 Pages
"Should I leave my job and family to recruit to The Great War?" I keep questioning myself. The day is here and I decide to join the war because of one propaganda that touched my heart which made the patriotism in me grow. I managed to 'steal' it and keep it with me to remind me of why I left my job and family and that was to fight and serve for their precious lives. I loved it because of my mother and sister, to fight and serve faithfully for them. However, that wasn't the only reason for me joining the war, my friends put so much social pressure on me. We decided to sign up together as a 'pals battalion' we promised to fight together and serve together! My mum and my sister were standing in the kitchen room, I could see both their tears flowing.
