Shortly before this tragic event, Brown and Witness 101 robbed Ferguson Market and Liquor of several packs of cigarillos. When the store manager tried to stop him, Michael Brown used his size as an advantage and left.

Two Palm Springs police officers were both shot and killed while responding to a public disturbance. John Felix, a twenty 6 year old resident of Palm Springs was the convicted suspect of the shooting, and deaths of Jose Gilbert Vega, 63, and Lesley Zerebny. When the officers arrived to the residence of John Felix, they tried to get him to comply with there orders to exit his home. After 10 minutes had past with no progress, and Felix opened fire on both the officers. Felix had said he would kill the officers, but the officers did not expect to be fired on behind the door.
Indeed, the typical narrative force-feed to many people of leaders not practicing self-defense is false and deeply problematic as it prevents a true understanding of one of many dark chapters in American history. In a suburb outside St. Louis known as Ferguson on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown, a black unarmed teenager was shot and killed by a white police officer, Darren Wilson. Ferguson isn’t known as a violent town when it is compared to its neighboring towns. On November 24, 2014, the jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. Thus, the uprising began. There was already distrust with the majority white police department.
The Death of Tyre Nichols Recently, footage of the brutal beating of 29-year-old Tyre Nichols was released to the public on January 28th. On January 7 in Memphis, Nichols was pulled over for a routine traffic stop, police officers claimed they pulled Nichols over for reckless driving. What should have been a routine and conflict-free stop quickly turned into a violent and deadly encounter. Nichols was not known to have a violent past or a criminal record of any kind.

Are Police Racist On April 29, 2017 Jordan Edwards, unarmed, was leaving a house party that was getting “out of hand”. He was fatally shot and killed while in the car leaving with his brother and three other unarmed teenagers. Jordan was considered a great student and he was liked by many of his teachers and classmates. This is just one of the many times police officers have fatally shot someone that was unarmed and just happened to be black.
By reading this you will be informed that etiquette police training and use of body cameras will majorly improve law enforcement incidents. But first we must get to know one of the many victims of police brutality Jessica Hernandez. Jessica Hernandez was a 17 year old hispanic teenager who was fatally shot by Denver police officers Daniel Greene and Gabriel Jordan. She was shot four times and two of those bullets went through the left side of her chest causing her death ( Gurman, 2015 ). Honestly four times is an excessive amount of times to shoot at someone.
