Ladies, gentlemen, and fellow Romans, today you have gathered not to celebrate a war victory, nor are you here to celebrate a festival. You have gathered here today to hear about a brutal assassination, murder, and worst of all, betrayal. The man I am talking about was not a commoner, senator or whatever title one can bestow upon a man; because this man was more than those titles, more than we have words to describe. This man was the great Julius Caesar, he who was our beloved general and ruler. This man was murdered at the hands of the wretched conspiracy, for their own greed and empowerment. The conspiracy, as one may know it, is an alliance of corrupt senators. The senator’s names may come as shock to you, but do not let this cloud your judgement; these are the most evil men alive today. Their numbers are many, but the puppeteers pulling the strings like life is just a game to them, are Caius Cassius, and Marcus Brutus. These men may be in the public eye gaining your support, but this was only an act to gain your trust. You must not trust these sinful men. Let us talk about how he was back-stabbed, literally and figuratively, by the ones he would call friend. Let us talk about how Caesar was nothing more than a simple man who wanted good things for Rome and the roman people. Let us talk about how Caesar denied the crown not once, not twice, but three times, all because he believed that Rome should not have one that rules all. Do not let Cassius and Brutus obfuscate the facts to you. They are dirty and evil men who so viciously, along with their conspirators, stabbed Caesar dead in the public forum for all of Rome to see. They didn’t just kill our beloved Caesar; they murdered a man who dedicated his life to this great thriving civilization. They murdered a man who represented the roman public, and the beliefs we stand
