Ave Caesar, or hail Caesar, as others would say to me. I was the popular leader of the Roman Republic who was known well for my sharpness throughout my political career. My most famous acts were stabilizing the imperial system through reforms and expanding the Roman Republic's territory.

I was born on July 12 or 13, 100 B.C. in Rome, Italy. My parents were Roman aristocrats but we were far from wealthy. When I was 16 my father, Gaius Caesar passed away. My mother, Aurelia, remained very close to me.

With the death of the dictator, I returned to Italy and began my career in politics as a prosecuting advocate. During my travel to study philosophy in Rhodes, I was kidnapped by pirates. During the time as consul, I secured the governorship of Gaul, now known as France and Belgium, allowing me to build a larger military. In the time of 58 and 50 BC, I conquered the rest of Gaul up to the Rhine River.

Through a series of events I declared war with Pompey by leading troops across the Rubicon River on January 10-11, 19 BC. By the end of 48 BC, I removed my enemies from Rome and pursued Pompey into Egypt where he soon died. I gained a strong relationship with Cleopatra while in Egypt and I even had a son with her named Caesarion.

When I returned to Rome, I made myself dictator for life. I then started reforming the republic. Some of my reforms included increasing the size of the senate, remaking the Roman calendar, and resurrecting two destroyed cities, Carthage and Corinth.
