The History of the Grand State of Georgia Back when Native Americans lived in Georgia, there were many tribes such as the Apalachee, Choctaw, and Cherokee. The first people in Georgia arrived about 12,00 years ago. The Indians mostly farmed as Georgia had and still has rich soil and a lots of rain. They also took advantage of the mild weather, sunshine, dense forests, and plenty of streams. Scientists believe that the Native Indians lived in small groups, about 20-50 people in one group.

I want to go to Hoosier Girls State so I can better my community when I return. I can use the new leadership skills that I acquire at Girls State to help run my school’s Student Council, National Honor Society, and Sunshine Society. Leadership skills are very important for me because I am currently the Vice President of Sunshine Society, and I will be campaigning for President next year. I hope to continue to be an efficient leader for our Sunshine members, and lead by example for the underclassmen.
The National Honor Society organization functions as a symbol of excellence and brilliance of Egg Harbor Township High School. As a committed and goal-oriented individual with more energy than a billion watts, I know that being a member of your well-respected organization would allow me the opportunity to help my community, school, character development and scholastic abilities, and most notably, mutually benefit National Honor Society to the best of my ability. After high school, I plan to attain a degree in pre-medicine, as I have always had a rewinding image in my mind of becoming a doctor. I plan on going to medical school to advance in my studies, towards my career.
My family consist one big sister and little brother. I 'm hardworking being part in multiple clubs and sports such as, National Honor Society, Youth Council of Laredo, the Football team and in a basketball team in the spurs league. Being in these clubs and sports showed me to be dedicated, hardworking, adapt, time management, team work, and most importantly help out the community. I have a special bond with my mom, she 's there when I need her. What I want to be when I grow up is become a surgeon.
The majority of my life has been spent placing critical life events and accomplishments onto a timeline. For instance, it has been twenty-one years since I first wrapped my teddy bears in bandages and diagnosed their illnesses. It has been eleven years since I decided to become a nurse. It has been seven years since I was first admitted to Texas A&M University and struggled with the pressures of doing well in college while balancing a personal and family life. It has been almost three years since I last stepped foot on Texas A&M soil.
I would like to become an active member of Carrboro High School’s National Honor Society in order to benefit my community through service. I am immensely committed to serving and improving my community, as I have made distinctly clear with my 143 service hours. Through these service hours, I have focused on the improvement of the future community by helping disenfranchised refugee children coming from horrible living conditions in Western Africa, by teaching children about biology, chemistry, and scientific history, by preparing freshmen for their high school careers, by raising money to protect and aid voiceless animals hurt in car crashes and other human infringements, and by creating rain gardens, planting food crops, and decreasing Carrboro High School’s environmental
National Honor Society is known for their members with great grades and outstanding character. I personally believe that I would fit into this club wonderfully. Finishing with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and a 4.0 GPA last semester. With grades being the most important thing to me, I take them very seriously.
I am honored to be nominated for Crestwood’s National Honor Society for the 2017-2018 school year. I feel as if I use these four characteristics every day. Scholarship is something that I take for granted. When I think of school, I think it’s easy and all it takes is doing your homework to get good grades.
Finally, I am optimistic because I like to make the people around me happy too. I would love to be a part of the National Honor Junior Society because it will give me more opportunities to be a leader and participate in community services and also to help the people around me. I understand how many doors this will open for me by introducing me to better colleges, better jobs, and a better life. I have been blessed with many great opportunities in the past three years to serve and increase my leadership skills. I have played soccer for my high school, and was voted Team Captain of the varsity team by my teammates. I absolutely loved growing closer to each one of those girls, and being an example to them both on and off of the field. In high school, I have balanced my membership in eight different clubs.
