The case I will be concentrating on is Tomcik vs. Ohio Dep’t of Rehabilitation and Correction in which Tomcik was imprisoned under the custody of Department of Rehabilitation and correction, based on the Legal and Ethical Issues for Health Professionals book. The problem stimulated from continuous negligence from nurses and doctors at the department, which initially was when Tomcik received a physical evaluation, included the breast examination by Dr. Evans who stated that the examination was cursory and lasted only a few seconds, which means that not much attention was presented regarding the patient and his job. The next day Tomcik noticed a lump as being about the size of a pea in her right breast, however it was not reported by Dr. Evans.
One lasting this I would like to contribute to this program is a efficient and organized system that would allow the program to look more professional moving forward towards the future . A few items I have noticed during my time as L3EADER is outdates binders, missing photo rosters, and confusion with the trackers. Working as a L3ADER I would love to clean up and set up a running system that would allow future scholars to transition smoothly into and out of departments. As I run for the position of ADD 1, I seek to create a easy- going system that would relieve stress from L3ADERS and allow new scholars to be worry free when entering this new and exciting environment in POD
The three most important tasks I regularly perform is taking care of SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plan), creating weekly work plans, and running the daily huddles with all the subcontracotrs. It’s my responsibily to make sure to do SWPPP inspections twice a week, and fix any problems that can lead to violations. As for weekly work plans, I have to collect every subcontractors’ tasks for the following meek, and put it into an excel sheet so we can go over it at the foreman’s meeting with the senior superintendent. Using the weekly work plans, I go through every single task and ask each subcontractor’s foreman if they completed it during the daily huddles. All three tasks are assigned by the senior superitendent.

If I were captain Collings, I would have analyzed the issues of my own before taking any decision. Considering the job profile of the employees and their responsibilities towards the organization and society as well as my responsibility towards both the organization and for them, I would have taken few decisions. I would have supported the employees in their concern about the neatness of uniforms and haircut, but on the other hand, I would have ruled out the idea of watching television while on duty, as it may divert their attention from the job. Distributing additional uniforms to the employees can be an option, but that won’t help much, because the job demands to fight brush fires and they work in dust environment, if they are intimidated
