Talbot”s audience can be thought to be liberal adults of any education. This can be deduced due to both diction and various explanation of high school functions. Mr. Griffin is a character based off of one of Duncan’s daughter’s teachers. Mark Kinney is based off of her daughter’s boyfriend.

The Paladins are people that can sense Jumpers when they teleport and have been at war with Jumpers for many years. Killing Mr. Griffin is a suspense novel written by Lois Duncan. Mr. Griffin is considered the harshest teacher of Del Norte High School. Mr. Griffin is unbelievably bitter and even the top of his class, Susan McConnell, is only receiving a measly B.
