Frankly speaking, learning Art History is a positive experience for me to understand and explore other cultures as well as their fascinating pastime, though I also feel the pain in analyzing one specific painting or architecture that I am not familiar with, meanwhile, I have to rack my brains to remember and comprehend

For me, the study of Art History is like going to a window and look out with an inquisitive mind, along with use my imagination and cognition to empathize and conjure up all associative emotions a picture or a sculpture evokes. Because every artwork has its own story to tell, and it could make me to "think about how an artist's life affected his/her creative decisions"(n.d.). As Scared Destination indicated, "Throughout its long life, the Parthenon has functioned most importantly as a Greek temple, but has also been a treasury, fortress, a church, and a mosque...it is one of the most recognizable icons and popular tourist attraction in the world"(n.d.). Further, by comparing and contrast it with Roman Pantheon, I took my hat off to ancient Greek artists and architects for their craftsmanship, fine details and efforts in designing and producing a magnificent structure.
