I have felt that I have experienced impact of kindness in the Fairview community I live in, by working with the autistic kids in the elementary school. I have not only felt like I have shown kindness to these kids but in return, I have seen these kids show kindness back.
I have had an amazing experience these past three years working with the autistic kids in the elementary school. For me showing kindness is putting yourself in someone else 's shoes and putting aside your own selfish desires. Kindness does not have to be giving or doing something for someone else, but kindness can be as “little” as showing interest and investing time in another 's life.
Working with kids have taught me to see kindness as black in white; for they can easily tell the difference between kind and mean. I have learned no matter what I may be going through in life there is no excuse to not show kindness to others.

Trey has a very special place in my heart, for I have been spending time with him every day helping him with tasks. I have seen the good times and the bad times he experiences as well as seeing him grow and learn new things. By showing kindness to him, I have felt that kindness has become contagious, making me want to show kindness to other special need kids in the Fairview community. After showing kindness to Trey, I was inspired to volunteered to be a mentor for a freshman boy in High School who has Down Syndrome. His name is Cullen, and I have gotten the opportunity to help this amazing young man adjust to the High School.
