Caleb Johnson Ms. Tobias ENGL 1205 28 March 2024 Acting To Reality Lots of people believe that Hamlet is mad, and I agree with them. But I think there is more to it. Hamlet is a very wise person and is very well-spoken. I believe that Hamlet first started acting mad, but throughout the play, and after each event and everything that happened to him, I believe he did turn mad. By the end of the play when he is fighting with Laretes, I think that he has gone fully mad.
In Hamlet, Shakespeare presented Hamlet as the prince of Denmark. When he arrive his home, he found his beloved father, the king of Denmark, is already dead. Again, his mothers marriage with his uncle came to him bolt from the blue. It was unbearable for him to accept that his parents’ conjugal bed is being shared. Then the trauma started that ended into death.
General Statement One can not give their bling loyalty to anyone. Thesis statement Shakespeare’s play, “Hamlet”, serves as a cautionary tale against extreme loyalty, seen within the characters as their devotion to other progress, and they lose their integrity.
Yes, I know if Hamlet had survived, he would have been a good king because A king is a male head of state who typically ascends to power and maintains it for life until death ,in the story of Hamlet, he was loved by everyone who had the chance to know him, he was young, and he was a thinker, which would have helped him be a great king. Hamlet was also educated, and education is key. Hamlet was also compassionate and not selfish because he never forced himself to become king. If Hamlet had survived his fate, he would be a greater king than Claudius or any king that has ever had the power to be a king in Hamlet. Hamlet was loved by everyone because he was loyal, young, and caring.
Intro: A famous quote from Ghandi says, “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” This is a quote that applies to the characters in Hamlet who are driven by revenge. To put in simple terms, an eye for an eye means whatever you do someone will be done to you. The characters acted through their anger and emotions, rather than with thorough thought, because they were insistent on getting revenge on those who did them wrong.

As he madness grew his father ghost would appear upon him when he would do crazy stuff like murder, Hamlet madness started when his father first appear, and told Hamlet his uncle king Claudius murdered him. Now prince Hamlet seeks revenge for his father, and wants to prove Claudius did murder his father. In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, there are characters that don't play an active role throughout the entire book, although these characters aren't always involved they still play a significant role. The character that has appeared to affect this work of literature the most while not being included in a majority of the text, is the ghost of King Hamlet. The classic play Hamlet is greatly affected by this character; because the ghost appeared to Bernardo and Marcellus sharing to Hamlet was notified of how his father truly died. This in turn affected Hamlet greatly, instead of mourning his father's death, he began to avenge his father's death.
Hamlet, written by famous playwright and poet, William Shakespeare, is frequently referred to as the “Mona Lisa” of literature. The true purpose and complete understanding of the play is, up to this day, not remotely knowledgeable by scholars and the audience alike. The play has led to much conversation about what Shakespeare was ultimately trying to accomplish with it. One vexed and widely referred critique was that made by T.S. Eliot, in which he described, “The ‘madness’ of Hamlet lay to Shakespeare’s hand…a deliberate dissimulation, but a form of emotional relief” (Eliot 93). In creating Hamlet, Shakespeare achieved perplexity in the scheme that created for misinterpretation of an unexplained Hamlet.
Ever since we have set foot on this Earth, we humans have pondered what our reason is to be living? What does it mean be alive? What is life? This has asked many times however it was highlighted in Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet where he asks: “To be or not to be, that is the question.” Now we are not talking about suicide, betrayal and blood here.

It is undecided whether this ghost is good or evil, however, as Hamlet slowly moves to madness the ghost’s wickedness is determined. Hamlet is set in Denmark, a land created to closely model the Elizabethan London where Shakespeare resided. Prince Hamlet returns from school to attend his father, the late King’s, funeral. Shortly after his father 's death, Hamlet’s mother weds her brother-in-law, Claudius, making him the new King of Denmark.

These ideas and themes show up a lot in Shakespeare’s works (like in Macbeth, or both parts of the Henry IV plays) but the way familial relationships are portrayed and how
The Life After Death Suicide and homicide often have roots in a confused and unbalanced relationship between the life and the death instincts. The destructive impulses may be turned against one 's own self (suicide) or projected against an external target (homicide). Sigmund Freud, an Austrian neurologist and the founder of psychoanalysis, proposed that each human has a life instinct and a death instinct. The death drive seeks destruction¬– life 's return to an inorganic state.
