A new life Solomon is a Haitian that had lived at the poorest American country for almost all his live as well as nearly ten million other citizens. Besides all Haitian problems and its secular political instability, he was proud to have been born in the first American country to abolish slavery, freedom that was not grant by the dominant elite but reached with struggle, sweat and blood by his ancestors. The past fight for freedom did not result in a stable social organization or even in collective well-being as expected, much less in enabling a progressively better future. First, he went to a near city in order to meet a man who was responsible for the travel and illegal entrance in Brazil. As Solomon had no money to pay the expenses of the trip, an agreement that forced him to deliver a package to a Brazilian receiver was made and accepted. The trip would take four days by boat and bus. The first part from Haiti to Peru and finally to State of Acre in Brazil where the package should be delivered. During the trip, the only food available was a wafer package that a friend had provided and the supplied water caused diarrhea. The initial plan was to deliver the package, get a temporary work in Rio Branco, Acre’s capital, and as soon as earn enough money to bus ticket, go to São Paulo where people said that good jobs could be found easily. Soon after arriving in Rio Branco, the impression that Solomon had passing by the road Irineu Serra, on the peripheries of the city, it was that he was a Port au Prince, or any other Haitian city. The people circulation was very large, and could always be seen anyone with a suitcase on the head or hand. It was there that the Brazilian government housed foreigners, legal and illegal, who arrived by the hundreds every day to Brazil, crossing Acre state frontier. It was estimated that up to that date, at least forty thousand Haitians crossed the country's border with Peru and Bolivia, passing by the city of Assis Brazil. Many immigrants have suffered a lot during the trip to Rio Branco city, from Port au Prince, almost all were victims of "coyotes": Peruvians that made false promises to Haitians. Several women were raped, and many others spent the money they do not had to realize the dream of traveling to Brazil. The goal would be to get a job at any job area.
