The whole case could be considered highly suspect from the various actions of involved individuals, to odd circumstances, to mishandling of evidence. Many fans and experts looking into the case have come up with various theories as to what happened; with some believing the idea that it was a suicide by drug overdose, while others propose the idea that Kurt Cobain was actually murdered.
There were a few suspicious individuals involved in Kurt Cobain's death. Most notably was his wife, Courtney Love. Currently in the midst of filing for divorce, she could have manipulated evidence in order to make his death to seem like a suicide, when in fact it was a murder. Even to this day, Courtney Love has experienced money issues which would have likely been made worse if she had not stood to gain tens of millions of dollars from Cobain’s estate (Sales, 2011). Secondly, Dylan Carlson, who was leading Tom Grant, the private investigator hired by Courtney, around in order to find Kurt never mentioned the greenhouse above the garage during their search of the house (Eichar, Middleton & Statler, …show more content…

Later, the body would be found there, thus drawing suspicion toward why they would not check there. Additionally, Courtney would often talk to him separately, possibly telling him what to do or say, in exchange for access to more heroin (Eichar, Middleton & Statler, 2015). Addiction is a powerful thing and unfortunately, it may have made Dylan, an accomplice in Kurt Cobain's death. Thirdly, some witnesses may have been coerced into covering up information
