Exuberant in his or her choices, the knowledged shopper seeks to improve his or her health. Unfortunately, Americans like this are few and far in between. The labeling found on the many recurrent products in Americans lives are, for many, a decoration of seemingly important details. What lies in the series of numbers and words, could potentially alter and even end a person's life. That’s how it has been for the past century since the first drug and food acts in America. There lies the problem: how is it possible for a person to take in account the possible dangers that are contained in what seems to be an average product if they don’t even know what lies in them?
The FDA has to step up to inform and educate Americans about what lies in their products. Education is key; it’s what enables people to gain hold of a wiser set of free will: always choosing what is best for them. Americans are the students, and the FDA is the teacher. The FDA should inform and educate Americans about trans-fats in fast food products like McDonald's in order to promote insightful thinking & healthier lifestyles.

They will also argue that if McDonald’s switches or provides more healthier options, it would affect the economy negatively, but that is simply not true. The reason there has been a new incentive for McDonald’s to improve is because of the recent rise in demand and competition. Competition is good for the economy since it motivates businesses to improve and provide better goods to suffice their customer's needs.
