As they step off the train they gain hope, which is quickly taken away by the wretched sights and the undismissable stench of Auschwitz. The Nazis have taken them from their homes and sent them to labor camps. The so-called “labor” camps is where they murder the Jews and prisoners of the Nazis. The Nazis have killed Jews in ways that we can't imagine, they have made life for Jews terrible, and the trains they took to the camps were horrible and unforgiving.

There were different ways that the Jews were killed within the Death Camps. The most resourceful and effective way they killed Jews were that they gassed the Jews. The Jews were often worked without rest and many have died because of it. If the Jews were not murdered by the Nazis they died to other reasons. More died from disease then in anything else. Many died on the long journeys on the trains. They mostly died from disease, but they also died from starvation and dehydration.
